Lurdes was raised in Alviso and is a very active resident in this community. She is not only involved with our Santa Visits Alviso Foundation but many other organizations including the Neighborhood Watch Program, attended meetings for the Alviso Master Plan and Alviso Water Task Force. She has received her certificate(s) from Federal Emergency Management Agency-F.E.M.A., the San Jose Police Department - Citizen Police Academy and was also a member of Crime Stoppers and the Sheriffs Advisory Board for Santa Clara County. She enjoyed being a member of these organizations and will return back to them after she completes college. My passion is my community and helping others. My goal is to teach my son James, who is 5th generation, communication, protect, prevent and preserve our community, "Alviso." So my motto, "Give Respect, Gain Respect."
