Santa Visits Alviso Foundation

About us

Started in 1983 to bring Christmas to the families of Alviso displaced by the flood. Initially candy canes and hot chocolate were provided by Santa to families that otherwise might have not had a Christmas and today the Christmas program serves several hundred people each year from the Alviso community and beyond.

The "Santa Visits Alviso" Foundation is an all volunteer organization that provides educational gifts along with the joy and spirit of Christmas to hundreds of youngsters ranging from toddlers to teens. This is due to the generosity of time, talent and monetary donations of those who wish to share in this people-helping-children concept that enriches both the givers and the receivers. We are active all year and along with our Christmas program we also fund a scholarship program and many other events during the year that are organized by the Alviso Library and the Alviso Youth Center.
